| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |
| 3 | | Representatives are pleased to congratulate Pastor Wade Hudson |
| 4 | | on his consecration as Bishop on June 28, 2014; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Pastor Hudson serves Moses Temple Missionary |
| 6 | | Baptist Church in Chicago; he entered the ministry in 2001 and |
| 7 | | was elected Pastor of Moses Temple in January of 2011; he has |
| 8 | | organized clothing and toy drives, fed those who are in need, |
| 9 | | and helped church members and those in the community with job |
| 10 | | placement, resume services, and expungements; and
|
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Pastor Hudson was born and raised on the South |
| 12 | | Side of Chicago; he is a graduate of Percy L. Julian High |
| 13 | | School and is a 22-year United Stats Army Veteran, serving |
| 14 | | multiple tours of duty, including 2 for Operation Enduring |
| 15 | | Freedom; he continues to work for the Department of Veterans |
| 16 | | Affairs and started his own not-for-profit organization to |
| 17 | | assist veterans with housing, employment, services, and job |
| 18 | | training; and
|
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Pastor Hudson earned his associates degree in |
| 20 | | psychology from Harold Washington College; he studied theology |
| 21 | | at Gospel Ministry Outreach Theological Institute in Houston, |
| 22 | | Texas, where he received his doctorate and master's degrees; |
