HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to congratulate  Gene and Peggy Bost on the 
4occasion of their 65th wedding anniversary; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Gene Bost is the retired President and co-owner of 
6Bost Truck Service, Inc., in Murphysboro; Peggy Bost worked in 
7retail in the Murphysboro area for many years after raising 
8their children; Gene and Peggy are both active members of Elm 
9Street Baptist Church; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Gene and Peggy Bost were united in marriage on 
11July 9, 1949 at the home of Gene's parents in Murphysboro; 
12Peggy's cousin, Janet Hawkins (Kimmel), served as the Maid of 
13Honor and Bill Bost, Gene's brother, was the Best Man; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Peggy and Gene Bost have 3 sons and 
15daughters-in-law, Milton and Marcia, Mike and Tracy, and Dan 
16and Judy; a daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Mike Pittman; 
1714 grandchildren, Dafney Bost, Dirk (Jennifer) Bost, Braden 
18(Dona) Bost, Gavin and Nathan Bost, Michael (Sara) Pittman, 
19Steven (Betsy) Bost, W.J. (Megan) Pittman and Zack (Kaitlin) 
20Pittman, Kaitlin (Chad) Rose, Danielle Bost, Craig and Caleb 
21Bost, and Kasey (Travis) Fred; and 15 great-grandchildren, 
22Spencer, Lydia, Sydney and Londyn Fred, Clara Bost, Molly and

1Evie Pittman, Zoey (Cox), Eli, and Gage Pittman, Wiley, 
2Stanley, and Abraham Bost; and Lillyauna and Tinley Rose; and

  
 
3    WHEREAS, Peggy and Gene Bost will share a private dinner 
4with their family at Giant City Lodge to celebrate their 65th 
5anniversary; therefore, be it
  
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
7NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
8we congratulate Gene and Peggy Bost on the occasion of their 
965th wedding anniversary and wish them continued happiness in 
10the future; and be it further
  
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
12presented to Gene and Peggy Bost as a symbol of our esteem and 
13respect.
