| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |
| 3 | | Representatives wish to congratulate the Alleman Catholic High |
| 4 | | School softball team, the Pioneers, on winning the 2014 |
| 5 | | Illinois High School Association Class 2A State Championship; |
| 6 | | and

| 7 | | WHEREAS, The Pioneers compiled a record of 32 wins and 6 |
| 8 | | losses on their way to claiming the championship with a 9-3 |
| 9 | | victory over Teutopolis High School on June 7, 2014 at the |
| 10 | | Eastside Center complex in East Peoria; and
|
| 11 | | WHEREAS, This is the Pioneers' 6th State softball |
| 12 | | championship title, and the first since 1998; it is the first |
| 13 | | State championship for Mike Ebner in his 8 seasons as their |
| 14 | | head coach; the Pioneers have placed at State 9 times, with |
| 15 | | Coach Ebner being part of the previous 5, starting as assistant |
| 16 | | coach in 1991; and

| 17 | | WHEREAS, The Pioneers are Emily Hoffman, Lexi Ferrari, |
| 18 | | Maris Boelens, Dakota Stout, Anna Wetherell, Ashley Tholl, |
| 19 | | Shannon Cusack, Molly Ethington, Abby Thompson, Mackenzie |
| 20 | | Sanchez, Julia Thomer, Molly Chambers, Marissa Terronez, |
| 21 | | Caitlin DeWitte, and Isabelle Anderson; their assistant |
