HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to recognize Rich Janiec on his 
4outstanding service to the Streamwood Park District Board of 
5Commissioners; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Rich Janiec was first elected to the Streamwood 
7Park District Board of Commissioners in 2009; he wanted area 
8parks to be a showcase to surrounding towns and villages, and 
9he wanted people to visit Streamwood parks and experience their 
10uniqueness; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, While serving on the Board, Rich Janiec was 
12instrumental in getting the County School House Plaque for the 
13Hoosier Grove Schoolhouse in 2010,  as well as the Hanover 
14Township Plaque in 2011; in addition, the District has a one of 
15a kind day lily on site; the lily is a unique cultivar bred 
16specifically for Streamwood; he hopes that this flower will 
17eventually flourish throughout the District and village; and
  
 
18    WHEREAS, Rich Janiec is actively involved with the 
19Streamwood Historical Society and Hanover Township; and
  
 
  
20    WHEREAS, Rich Janiec is dedicated to serving the people of 
21Streamwood; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
2NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
3we recognize Rich Janiec on his outstanding service to the 
4Streamwood Park District Board of Commissioners; and be it

6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to Rich Janiec as an expression of our esteem and 
8respect.
