| 1 | HOUSE RESOLUTION

| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
| 3 | Representatives are pleased to congratulate the members of the | ||||||
| 4 | Grundy County Farm Bureau on the occasion of 100 years of | ||||||
| 5 | service in their communities; and
| ||||||
| 6 | WHEREAS, The Grundy County Farm Bureau was created April 1, | ||||||
| 7 | 1914 by a group of Grundy County farmers who wanted to preserve | ||||||
| 8 | agriculture and give area farmers a voice in legislative | ||||||
| 9 | issues; and
| ||||||
| 10 | WHEREAS, The Grundy County Farm Bureau is a not-for-profit | ||||||
| 11 | membership organization dedicated to educating community | ||||||
| 12 | leaders, legislators, consumers, and schools about | ||||||
| 13 | agriculture; and
| ||||||
| 14 | WHEREAS, The Grundy County Farm Bureau is comprised of a | ||||||
| 15 | 12-person Board of Directors who oversee the programs and | ||||||
| 16 | projects developed by the organization; and
| ||||||
| 17 | WHEREAS, The Grundy County Farm Bureau aims to enhance | ||||||
| 18 | opportunities to its members for improving their farms and | ||||||
| 19 | businesses; and
| ||||||
| 20 | WHEREAS, The Grundy County Farm Bureau also sponsors area | ||||||
| |||||||
| |||||||
| 1 | events which enables its members to be further involved in | ||||||
| 2 | their local communities; and
| ||||||
| 3 | WHEREAS, The mission of the Grundy County Farm Bureau is to | ||||||
| 4 | "provide agricultural leadership and enhance the economic | ||||||
| 5 | success and quality of life for our members and communities"; | ||||||
| 6 | and
| ||||||
| 7 | WHEREAS, The Grundy County Farm Bureau is an invaluable | ||||||
| 8 | organization for the community and area farmers to be a part | ||||||
| 9 | of; therefore, be it
| ||||||
| 10 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | ||||||
| 11 | NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | ||||||
| 12 | we congratulate the members of the Grundy County Farm Bureau on | ||||||
| 13 | the occasion of 100 years of serving their communities and | ||||||
| 14 | feeding the families of Illinois and wish them another 100 | ||||||
| 15 | years of continued success; and be it further
| ||||||
| 16 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 17 | presented to the Grundy County Farm Bureau as a symbol of our | ||||||
| 18 | respect and esteem.
