HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to congratulate Spencer Adam Boos of 
4Grayslake on achieving the rank of Eagle Scout; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Spencer Boos is a member of Boy Scouts of America 
6Troop 96 in Grayslake; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, Spencer Boos's Eagle Scout project was to create a 
8tetrahedron playground for goats for the Hooved Animal Humane 
9Society; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Spencer Boos is a Brotherhood member of the Order 
11of the Arrow, has completed 36 Merit Badges, and received the 
12Ad Altare Dei emblem; he has completed over 80 service hours 
13and has camped out for 164 nights, earning a Scouting Outdoor 
14Award; he has backpacked in the Porcupine Mountains, which 
15included 34 miles of wilderness hiking and 5 nights along Lake 
16Superior; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Spencer Boos participated in the 2013 National 
18Scout Jamboree, the 2013 National Youth Leadership  Training, 
19the 2014 Powderhorn, and the 2014 National Advanced Youth 
20Leadership Experience; he was an Aquatic and Southcraft 
21Counselor in Training for the Ma-Ka-Ja-Wan Scout Reservation, a

1Counselor in Training for the 2013 Kumbaya Retreat, a Counselor 
2for the 2014 Kumbaya Retreat, and a staff member for the 2014 
3National Youth Leadership Training; and
  
 
4    WHEREAS, Spencer Boos has held numerous leadership 
5positions with Troop 96, including Patrol Leader for 3 terms, 
6Campout Senior Patrol Leader, Chaplain Aide, Quartermaster for 
73 terms, Webmaster, Den Chief, Troop Guide for 2 terms, and 
8Order of the Arrow Representative; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Spencer Boos will be recognized for his 
10achievement  at a Court of Honor on November 2, 2014; therefore, 
11be it
  
 
12    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
13NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
14we congratulate Spencer Adam Boos on achieving the rank of 
15Eagle Scout and wish him the best in all his future endeavors; 
16and be it further
  
 
17    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
18presented to Spencer Boos as an expression of our esteem and 
19respect.
