| 1 | HOUSE RESOLUTION

| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
| 3 | Representatives are pleased to recognize Illinois State | ||||||
| 4 | Representative Josh Harms for his hard work on behalf of the | ||||||
| 5 | people of the State of Illinois; and
| ||||||
| 6 | WHEREAS, Representative Harms grew up on a family farm in | ||||||
| 7 | Watseka, which instilled a good work ethic and strong sense of | ||||||
| 8 | community service; and
| ||||||
| 9 | WHEREAS, Representative Harms graduated from Illinois | ||||||
| 10 | State University in 1997 and earned his Master's Degree from | ||||||
| 11 | Governors State University in 2007; and
| ||||||
| 12 | WHEREAS, Representative Harms used his education to | ||||||
| 13 | develop young minds in his own community, teaching in Vermilion | ||||||
| 14 | and Iroquois Counties; and | ||||||
| 15 | WHEREAS, Since 2012, Representative Harms has furthered | ||||||
| 16 | his service to local communities by supporting many | ||||||
| 17 | pro-business, pro-life, and pro-taxpayer initiatives in the | ||||||
| 18 | General Assembly; and
| ||||||
| 19 | WHEREAS, Representative Harms has distinguished himself | ||||||
| 20 | through his service on the Agriculture and Conservation, | ||||||

| |||||||
| 1 | Appropriations-Higher Education, Business Occupational | ||||||
| 2 | Licenses, Cities and Villages, Economic Development, Public | ||||||
| 3 | Safety: Police and Fire, and Veterans' Affairs Committees; and
| ||||||
| 4 | WHEREAS, Representative Harms has decided to retire from | ||||||
| 5 | the Illinois House of Representatives in order to continue his | ||||||
| 6 | community service from his home base in Watseka and spend more | ||||||
| 7 | time with his 2 children; therefore, be it
| ||||||
| 8 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | ||||||
| 9 | NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | ||||||
| 10 | we thank our friend and colleague, Illinois State | ||||||
| 11 | Representative Josh Harms, for his service in Springfield, wish | ||||||
| 12 | him the best in his efforts within his local communities, and | ||||||
| 13 | express our pleasure to see him have more time to spend with | ||||||
| 14 | his 2 lovely children, Paul and Molly; and be it further
| ||||||
| 15 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 16 | presented to Representative Harms as a token of our esteem.
