| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

| 4 | | Section 5. The Central Illinois
Economic Development |

Act is amended by adding Section 75 as follows:

| 6 | | (70 ILCS 504/75 new) |
| 7 | | Sec. 75. Enterprise zones. The Authority may by ordinance |
| 8 | | designate a portion of the territorial jurisdiction of the |
| 9 | | Authority for certification as an Enterprise Zone under the |
| 10 | | Illinois Enterprise Zone Act in addition to any other |
| 11 | | enterprise zones that may be created under that Act, which area |
| 12 | | shall have all the privileges and rights of an Enterprise Zone |
| 13 | | pursuant to the Illinois Enterprise Zone Act, but that shall |
| 14 | | not be counted in determining the number of Enterprise Zones to |
| 15 | | be created in any year pursuant to that Act.

| 16 | | Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon |
| 17 | | becoming law.
