| 2 | | AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 1623 on page 1, by |
| 3 | | replacing lines 12 through 15 with the following: |
| 4 | | "guardians of a newborn child in a neonatal intensive care unit |
| 5 | | shall be informed about the importance of parents, guardians, |
| 6 | | and immediate family members being immunized against pertussis |
| 7 | | to minimize the chances that the disease will be communicated |
| 8 | | to the newborn child and shall also be informed about where |
| 9 | | they may obtain the appropriate vaccine.".
