AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 1680 




2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 1680, AS AMENDED, 
3by replacing everything after the enacting clause with the 
4following:


 
 
5    "Section 5. The Eminent Domain Act is amended  by adding 
6Section 25-5-55 as follows:
 
7    (735 ILCS 30/25-5-55 new)
8    Sec. 25-5-55. Quick-take; Village of Melrose Park. 
9Quick-take proceedings under Article 20 may be used for a 
10period of no longer than one year from the effective date of 
11this amendatory Act of the 98th General Assembly by the Village 
12of Melrose Park for the acquisition of the following described 
13property to be used for the purpose of a municipal parking lot 
14used by Village Hall employees, patrons, and visitors, a 
15location for various Village-sponsored events, and other 
16municipal purposes:
