AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 1912




2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 1912 on page 2 by 
3replacing line 17 with the following:
4        "resolution of the amount of the right of recovery; or
5            (iv) documentation of any other method of 
6        resolution of the liens as agreed by the parties."; and 
 
7on page 3 by replacing line 7 with the following:
8        "resolution of the amount of the right of recovery; or
9            (iv) documentation of any other method of 
10        resolution of the liens as agreed by the parties."; and 
 
11on page 3, line 9, by changing "21" to "30"; and
 
12on page 3 by replacing lines 24 through 26 with the following:


13"money damages, except as otherwise agreed by the parties. This 
14Section does not apply to:
15        (1) the State of Illinois;

1        (2) any State agency, board, or Commission, as defined 
2    in Section 1-7 of the Illinois State Auditing Act;
3        (3) any State officer or employee sued in his or her 
4    official capacity;
5        (4) any person or entity that is being represented by 
6    the Attorney General and provided indemnification by the 
7    State pursuant to the State Employee Indemnification Act;
8        (5) any municipality or unit of local government as 
9    defined under Article VII of the Illinois Constitution; and
10        (6) class action lawsuits."; and
 
11on page 4 by replacing lines 1 through 6 with the following:
 
12    "Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect January 
131, 2014.".
