| 2 | | AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 2922 on page 2, by |
| 3 | | replacing line 1 with the following: |
| 4 | | "settlement claim paid by the insurer, unless approved in |
| 5 | | writing by the Director. Application for exception to the 10% |
| 6 | | limit must be made in writing. The request must contain |
| 7 | | specific reasons as to why the consideration should be in |
| 8 | | excess of 10% and proof that the policyholder would accept the |
| 9 | | consideration. The Director must act on any request within 5 |
| 10 | | business days after receipt of the request.".
