AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 3217 




2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 3217 by replacing 
3everything after the enacting clause with the following:

 
4    "Section 5. The Children and Family Services Act is amended  
5by adding Section 39.2 as follows:
 
6    (20 ILCS 505/39.2 new)
7    Sec. 39.2. Illinois Children's Justice Task Force. The 
8Illinois Children's Justice Task Force, in compliance with (i) 
9the Child Abuse Prevention and Treatment Act (CAPTA) (42 U.S.C. 
105106c), as amended by Public Law 111-320; (ii) the Victims of 
11Crime Act of 1984 (42 U.S.C. 10603), as amended; and (iii) 
12Section 116 of the CAPTA Reauthorization Act of 2010, shall be 
13charged with the exploration, research, and development of 
14recommendations on a multidisciplinary team approach for the 
15investigation of reports of abuse or neglect of children under 
16the age of 18.

1    The Illinois Children's Justice Task Force shall submit a 
2report to the General Assembly by March 1, 2015 regarding, but 
3not limited to, its recommendations for a statewide 
4multidisciplinary approach to child abuse or neglect 
5investigations.  The Department of Children and Family Services  
6shall continue to provide administrative support to the Task 
7Force through the Department's Children's Justice Grant 
8Manager. 
 

9    Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon 
10becoming law.".
