| 1 | | AN ACT concerning regulation.

| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

| 4 | | Section 5. The Private Detective, Private Alarm, Private |
| 5 | | Security, Fingerprint Vendor, and
Locksmith Act of 2004 is |
| 6 | | amended by adding Section 10-31 as follows:

| 7 | | (225 ILCS 447/10-31 new) |
| 8 | | Sec. 10-31. Contracts for auxiliary police services. No |
| 9 | | licensee shall contract with any municipality for the provision |
| 10 | | of auxiliary police services under Section 3.1-30-20 of the |
| 11 | | Illinois Municipal Code. An employee serving as an auxiliary |
| 12 | | police officer shall perform only those duties provided by |
| 13 | | Section 3.1-30-20 of the Illinois Municipal Code and shall |
| 14 | | comply with all other requirements of Section 3.1-30-20 and of |
| 15 | | the Illinois Municipal Code.
