| 4 | | "Section 5. The Illinois Dental Practice Act is amended by |
| 5 | | adding Section 54.3 as follows:

| 7 | | Sec. 54.3. Vaccinations; immunizations. Notwithstanding |
| 8 | | Section 54.2 of this Act, a dentist enrolled in a medical |
| 9 | | network or enrolled as a Medicare or Medicaid provider may |
| 10 | | administer vaccinations upon completion of appropriate |
| 11 | | training on how to address contraindications and adverse |
| 12 | | reactions. Vaccinations shall be limited to patients 18 years |
| 13 | | of age and older pursuant to a valid prescription or standing |
| 14 | | order by a physician. In addition, vaccinations shall be |
| 15 | | limited to influenza (inactivated influenza vaccine) with |
| 16 | | notification to the patient's physician and with appropriate |
