| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Joseph I. Leben of Grayslake, formerly of |
| 4 | | Waukegan, who passed away on December 2, 2012; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Joseph Leben was born on August 18, 1922, in North |
| 6 | | Chicago; he married Alice Liska on June 22, 1946, in Chicago; |
| 7 | | and
|
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Joseph Leben was a veteran of the United States |
| 9 | | Navy, having served during World War II; and
|
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Joseph Leben was employed with US Steel-Cyclone |
| 11 | | Fence for 35 years until his retirement in 1976; he finished |
| 12 | | his career at Tenth Street Hardware in Waukegan; and
|
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Joseph Leben was a member of Prince of Peace |
| 14 | | Church in Lake Villa; he was also a former member of the North |
| 15 | | Chicago American Legion Sharvin Post, KSKJ St. Joseph Lodge |
| 16 | | #53, the US Steel Retiree's Club, the Korus Social Club, and |
| 17 | | the Norstates Ambassador's Club; and
|
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Joseph Leben enjoyed playing golf and fishing; and
|
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Joseph Leben was preceded in death by his parents; |
