SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  Willie Woods, who passed away on December 
412, 2012; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Willie Woods was born July 31, 1946 in Belzoni, 
6Mississippi; his parents were K.C. and Rosianna Woods; he and 
7his family moved to North Chicago in 1953; during high school, 
8he was very active in sports, including wrestling and football; 
9and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Willie Woods retired from the V.A. Hospital in 
11North Chicago after many years of dedicated service; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Willie Woods was preceded in death by his parents; 
13his brothers, Melvin, Calvin, and George Woods; and his 
14sisters, Hazel and Lorene Woods; and

  
 
15    WHEREAS, Willie Woods is survived by his son, James Lee 
16Woods; his granddaughters, Elizabeth and Angela; his sisters, 
17Doris Green, Irma Jean Montgomery, Sarah Woods, and Dolly 
18(Henry) White; his brother, Charles (Fay) Woods; his devoted 
19and loving niece, Shirley Green-Worklan; and his many nieces, 
20nephews, cousins, other relatives, and dear friends; 
21therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 
3his family and friends, the passing of Willie Woods; and be it 
4further
  
 
5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
6presented to the family of Willie Woods as an expression of our 
7sympathy.
