SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Irene Zehr of Peoria, who passed away on 
4January 11, 2013; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Irene Zehr was born on February 7, 1925, in Ottawa 
6to George and Lottie Nettie Dean; she married Leroy Zehr on 
7June 14, 1955; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Irene Zehr worked for many years as a nurse at 
9Parc; she worked with the Foster Grandparent program for the 
10Community Action Agency and was involved with Friendship House; 
11and
  
 
  
12    WHEREAS, Irene Zehr was preceded in death by her parents, 
13George and Lottie Dean; her husband, Leroy Zehr; and her son, 
14Larry; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Irene Zehr is survived by her daughters, Susan 
16(George) Chelikas and Marcia (David) Rigsby; her sons, Dennis 
17(Laurie) Zehr, Craig (Valeri) Zehr, and Michael; her grandson, 
18Andy (Stacy) Zehr; her granddaughters, Heather (Victor) Zehr 
19and Becky (Jeff) Grady; and 7 great-grandchildren; therefore,

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
3Irene Zehr, and we extend our sincere condolences to her 
4family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it 
5further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to the family of Irene Zehr as an expression of our 
8deepest sympathy.
