SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Donald Mansfield Cox of Alton, who passed 
4away on January 15, 2013; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Donald Cox was born on August 23, 1946, in Saint 
6Louis, Missouri, to Norval and Amanda Butler Cox; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, Donald Cox served in the U.S. Army; he retired 
8from Olin Corporation in 2003 after 38 years of service; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Donald Cox was active in the community with the 
10Knights of Columbus of Alton; he was a board member of the 
11Alton Nursing and Rehab Center and a member of Saint Mary's 
12Catholic Church; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Donald Cox was preceded in death by his parents 
14and his sister, Amanda Maltida Cox; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Donald Cox is survived by his brothers, Norval M. 
16Jr., Leo C., and Samuel H. Cox; his sister, Barbara E. (Curtis) 
17Weeden; his nieces and nephews; and his special friend, Everett 
18Talley; therefore, be it
  
 
19    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL

1ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
2Donald Cox, and we extend our sincere condolences to his 
3family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
4further
  
 
5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
6presented to the family of Donald Cox as an expression of our 
7deepest sympathy.
