| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Mary Lou "Peanut" Johnson of Godfrey, who |
| 4 | | passed away on January 3, 2013; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Mary Lou Johnson was born on September 3, 1935, in |
| 6 | | Alton to Gregory and Margaret (Newman) McClintock; she married |
| 7 | | Robert J. Johnson on June 25, 1955, at Saints Peter and Paul |
| 8 | | Catholic Church in Alton; and
|
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Mary Lou Johnson was co-owner of Johnson's Corner |
| 10 | | and was a member of Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in |
| 11 | | Alton; and
|
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Mary Lou Johnson was a life masters in bridge, |
| 13 | | enjoyed yard work, loved Christmas, water aerobics, and was a |
| 14 | | silent volunteer for numerous organizations; she enjoyed being |
| 15 | | around her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and
|
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Mary Lou Johnson was preceded in death by her |
| 17 | | parents; her husband, Robert; her brother, Bill McClintock; her |
| 18 | | sister-in-law, Kathy McClintock; her brother-in-law, John |
| 19 | | Kleinschnittger; and her grandson, Gregory Peipert; and
|
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Mary Lou Johnson is survived by her daughters, |

| 13 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
| 14 | | Mary Lou Johnson, and we extend our sincere condolences to her |
| 15 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it |
| 16 | | further

| 17 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 18 | | presented to the family of Mary Lou Johnson as an expression of |
