SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Mary Lou "Peanut" Johnson of Godfrey, who
4passed away on January 3, 2013; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Mary Lou Johnson was born on September 3, 1935, in
6Alton to Gregory and Margaret (Newman) McClintock; she married
7Robert J. Johnson on June 25, 1955, at Saints Peter and Paul
8Catholic Church in Alton; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Mary Lou Johnson was co-owner of Johnson's Corner
10and was a member of Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in
11Alton; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Mary Lou Johnson was a life masters in bridge,
13enjoyed yard work, loved Christmas, water aerobics, and was a
14silent volunteer for numerous organizations; she enjoyed being
15around her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Mary Lou Johnson was preceded in death by her
17parents; her husband, Robert; her brother, Bill McClintock; her
18sister-in-law, Kathy McClintock; her brother-in-law, John
19Kleinschnittger; and her grandson, Gregory Peipert; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Mary Lou Johnson is survived by her daughters,

1Jeanne (Chris) Peipert, Jacqueline (Mark) Cain, Judy (Chris)
2Durr, Jane (Jim) Strebel, and Julie (Ethan) Basler; her son,
3Jimmie (Cathy) Johnson; her grandchildren, Wendie Peipert,
4Nick (Kendall) Cain, Tony (Katie) Cain, David (Jen) Strebel,
5Abbie (Dustin) Hodge, Matt Cain, Jason Peipert, Monica (Jeff)
6Hardin, Savanna, Jett and Posy Durr, Alex Basler, Nash and Noah
7Johnson; her great-grandchildren, Audrey and Caroline Cain,
8Evan Dugger, Max and Maddie Strebel, Corbin and Austin Hodge;
9her sister, Jeanne (Jack) Vollmer; her brother, Jim McClintock;
10and her sisters-in-law, Dorothy Kleinschnittger and Ilse
11McClintock; therefore, be it
 
12    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
13ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
14Mary Lou Johnson, and we extend our sincere condolences to her
15family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
16further
 
17    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
18presented to the family of Mary Lou Johnson as an expression of
19our deepest sympathy.
