SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  John (Larry) Donohue of Waukegan, who 
4passed away on February 11, 2013; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, John Donohue was born on September 14, 1927, in 
6Waukegan; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, John Donohue served his country as a member of the 
8United States Armed Forces during World War II; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, John Donohue was employed at US Steel and retired 
10from California Hardware; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, John Donohue was an avid original Chicago Cardinal 
12fan; he also enjoyed golfing, billiards, and traveling 
13throughout the country; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, John Donohue is survived by his children, David 
15Donohue and Joan (James) Quinn; his grandchildren, McKenna 
16Gomez, Nicholas, and Karlee Rose; his great-grandchildren, 
17Kennedy and Elizabeth Gomez; his brothers, Michael, Thomas, and 
18Howard; his sisters, Janet Basten, Rosalie Henry, Marllee 
19Singer, and Sharon McFarland; and his many beloved nieces and 
20nephews, including his special niece, Jennifer; therefore, be

2    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL 
3ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 
4his family and friends, the passing of John (Larry) Donohue; 
5and be it further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to the family of John Donohue as an expression of our 
8sympathy.
