SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  Mary Bernice Triggs of Morton, formerly 
4of East Peoria, who passed away on February 18, 2013; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Mary Triggs was born on November 7, 1915, in 
6Tiskilwa; her parents were Lowry and Jennie Colvin Giltner; she 
7married DeLoss R. "Bud" Triggs on August 14, 1937; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Mary Triggs was employed by Block & Kuhl and 
9Carson Pirie Scott & Co. and retired in 1978; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Mary Triggs served as president of the Central 
11School Mothers Club in East Peoria and president of the East 
12Peoria Home Extension; she was also a past Worthy Matron of 
13Clover Leaf Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Mary Triggs was preceded in death by her husband; 
152 sons; 2 stepsons;  5 brothers; and 4 sisters; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Mary Triggs is survived by her daughter, Kay 
17Johnson; her son, Dennis (Judy) Triggs; her brother, Wilbur 
18(Doris) Giltner; and her many grandchildren and 
19great-grandchildren; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 
3her family and friends, the passing of Mary Bernice Triggs; and 
4be it further
  
 
5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
6presented to the family of Mary Triggs as an expression of our 
7sympathy.
