| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Mary Bernice Triggs of Morton, formerly |
| 4 | | of East Peoria, who passed away on February 18, 2013; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Mary Triggs was born on November 7, 1915, in |
| 6 | | Tiskilwa; her parents were Lowry and Jennie Colvin Giltner; she |
| 7 | | married DeLoss R. "Bud" Triggs on August 14, 1937; and
|
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Mary Triggs was employed by Block & Kuhl and |
| 9 | | Carson Pirie Scott & Co. and retired in 1978; and
|
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Mary Triggs served as president of the Central |
| 11 | | School Mothers Club in East Peoria and president of the East |
| 12 | | Peoria Home Extension; she was also a past Worthy Matron of |
| 13 | | Clover Leaf Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star; and
|
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Mary Triggs was preceded in death by her husband; |
| 15 | | 2 sons; 2 stepsons; 5 brothers; and 4 sisters; and
|
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Mary Triggs is survived by her daughter, Kay |
| 17 | | Johnson; her son, Dennis (Judy) Triggs; her brother, Wilbur |
| 18 | | (Doris) Giltner; and her many grandchildren and |
| 19 | | great-grandchildren; therefore, be it
