SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  Edna A. Giacomelli of Ladd, who passed 
4away on March 13, 2013; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Edna Giacomelli was born on April 16, 1921, in 
6Mendota; her parents were Alwin and Elva (Billhorn) Meyer; she 
7married Roy Giacomelli on June 7, 1951, at St. Benedict's 
8Church in Ladd; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Edna Giacomelli was a homemaker and a former 
10member of St. Benedict's Church, the Alter and Rosary Society, 
11and the Ladd American Legion Auxiliary; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Edna Giacomelli was preceded in death by her 
13brother, Alvin Meyer, and her sister, Edith Fischer; and

  
 
14    WHEREAS, Edna Giacomelli is survived by her husband, Roy; 
15her daughter, Lynne (Richard) Ouellette; her sons, Roy 
16Giacomelli Jr. and Gary (Cristine) Giacomelli; her 5 
17grandchildren; and her sister, Dorothy (Robert) Boers; 
18therefore, be it
  
 
19    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL 
20ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with

1her family and friends, the passing of Edna A. Giacomelli; and 
2be it further
  
 
3    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
4presented to the family of Edna Giacomelli as an expression of
