SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  Bernadine Boyke of North Chicago, who 
4passed away on March 10, 2013; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Bernadine Boyke was born on August 28, 1939, in 
6Waukegan; her parents were Sever and Rose Glogovsky; she 
7married Robert G. Boyke on November 29, 1958, at Holy Family 
8Church; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Bernadine Boyke lived in the Waukegan/North 
10Chicago area her entire life; she graduated from Holy Family 
11and North Chicago Community High Schools and was a devout 
12member of Holy Family and Queen of Peace Catholic Church; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Bernadine Boyke enjoyed traveling, gardening, 
14being outdoors, reading, word puzzles, and spending time with 
15her family; she particularly enjoyed attending her 
16grandchildren's plays, band performances, and athletic events; 
17and

  
 
18    WHEREAS, Bernadine Boyke is survived by her loving husband, 
19Robert; her children, John (Jan), Diane, David (Kim), Robert, 
20and William (Christine) Boyke; her grandchildren, Kevin, 
21Jessica, Taylor, Brynne, Michael, Bobby, and Johnny; and her

1sisters, Shirley Graupman and Janet Smith (Kendall); 
2therefore, be it
  
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL 
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 
5her family and friends, the passing of Bernadine Boyke; and be 
6it further
  
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
8presented to the family of Bernadine Boyke as an expression of 
9our sympathy.
