| 3 | | learn of the death of H.J. Croff, who passed away on March 16, |

| 5 | | WHEREAS, H.J. Croff was born on November 16, 1922, in |
| 6 | | Sledge, Mississippi; his parents were Randle Croff and Lena |
| 7 | | Houston; he married Silverlean Singleton on December 31, 1980; |
| 8 | | and
|
| 9 | | WHEREAS, H.J. Croff worked as a ship builder in Oakland, |
| 10 | | California during World War II; he later went to Chicago, where |
| 11 | | he worked at General Motors as a welder; his career spanned 33 |
| 12 | | years before he retired; and
|
| 13 | | WHEREAS, H.J. Croff was preceded in death by his parents; |
| 14 | | his wife, Silverlean; his brother, Roudorye; his sister, Willa |
| 15 | | Eva; his daughters, Mary, Georgia (Fred), Carol, and Jametrius; |
| 16 | | and his son, Michael; and
|
| 17 | | WHEREAS, H.J. Croff is survived by his children, Dorothy |
| 18 | | Jean (Elliot), Christine, Linda, Deborah (Dee), Delores, |
| 19 | | LaShorage (Eric), Comanica, LaTonya (Tim), and Kylyn; his 29 |
| 20 | | grandchildren; his 16 great-grandchildren; his |
| 21 | | great-great-grandchild; his life-long friends, Mr. Carey, Mr. |
