SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Joyce Elizabeth Dwyer of Crystal Lake, who passed away on May 9, 2013; and

WHEREAS, Joyce Dwyer was born on April 10, 1934, in Dayton, Ohio, to Adam and Lois (Lane) Grismer; her mother passed away when she was young and she was raised by her father and her stepmother, Mary Grismer; she married William "Bill" Dwyer; and

WHEREAS, Joyce Dwyer was most proud of her work with the Raue Center for the Arts in Crystal lake; she and her husband Bill, aided in the founding of the Crystal Lake Gala and parade; and

WHEREAS, Joyce Dwyer enjoyed gardening, reading, and singing in the community choir, which she helped found; she also sang in the choir at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church for more than 30 years; she was a member of the P.E.O. Women's Organization, the St. Jude Guild, and the Knit Wits; and

WHEREAS, Joyce Dwyer was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bill; her sister, Anita Boop; and her brother, Gale Grismer; and

WHEREAS, Joyce Dwyer is survived by her children, Mary Krikorian, Maureen (Stephen) Regele, Thomas O'Connor, Daniel O'Connor, Daniel Dwyer, and Robert (Renee) Dwyer; her grandchildren, Kelley Regele, Megan Regele, Joseph Krikorian, Elyse Krikorian, Katherine Regle, Chris (Melissa) Dwyer, Blake (Meagan) Dwyer, Dylan Dwyer, and Cameron Dwyer; and her great-granddaughter, Delanee Dwyer; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Joyce Dwyer, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Joyce Dwyer as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
