SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  John William Snider, who passed away on 
4May 11, 2013; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, John Snider was born on August 4, 1942, in Hardin; 
6his parents were John and Marie Snider; he was formerly married 
7to the Mary Ann Schell of Jerseyville, and together they raised 
8their family in Jerseyville for many years; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, John Snider served his country honorably with the 
10United States Army and served in Germany; he was a member of 
11the Grafton American Legion; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, John Snider enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson and 
13spending time with his family and friends; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, John Snider was preceded in death by his parents; 
15his sister, Julia "DeeDee" Hazelwonder; and his infant sister; 
16and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, John Snider is survived by his children and their 
18spouses, Johnny Snider, Cathy and
Dan Hagarty, and Scott and 
19Kathryn Snider; his grandchildren, Tyler, Brooke, Hannah, 
20Emma, Claire, Lila, Grayson, and John; his great-grandson,

1Jack; and his girlfriend, Nancy (Pohlman) Bowman; therefore, be 
2it
  
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL 
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 
5his family and friends, the passing of John William Snider; and 
6be it further
  
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
8presented to the family of John Snider as an expression of our 
9sympathy.
