SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  Gary D. Bennett, Sr. of Waukegan, who 
4passed away on May 29, 2013; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Gary Bennett, Sr. was born January 10, 1952, in 
6Waukegan, and was a lifelong resident; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, Gary Bennett, Sr. and his wife were former owners 
8of the Costume Shop on Center Street in Waukegan; he was also 
9employed in the Lake County Supervisor of Assessments Office 
10for 27 years; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Gary Bennett, Sr. was a member of St. Anastasia 
12Parish; he was also a former board member of the Waukegan Park 
13District and had coached baseball in Waukegan for many years; 
14and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Gary Bennett, Sr. was preceded in death by his 
16parents, Nehemiah and Mildred Bennett; his brother, Charles 
17Bennett; and his brother-in-law, James Kuklai; and
  
 
18    WHEREAS, Gary Bennett, Sr. is survived by his wife, 
19Patricia; his sons, Gary D. (Ruby) Bennett, Jr. and Ryan (Vann) 
20Bennett; his grandchildren, Garrison Bennett, Gavin Bennett,

1Julia Bennett, Aiden Bennett, Addison Bennett, and Ainsley 
2Bennett; his sisters, Jean (Ralph) Bock and Patricia Kukla; and 
3his many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
  
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL 
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 
6his family and friends, the passing of Gary D. Bennett, Sr.; 
7and be it further
  
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
9presented to the family of Gary Bennett, Sr. as an expression 
10of our sympathy.
