SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Sharon R. Foote of Libertyville, who passed away on June 24, 2013; and

WHEREAS, Sharon Foote was born on October 8, 1943, in Libertyville to Robert F. and Gladys E. (Giss) Foote and was a lifelong resident; she graduated from Libertyville High School in 1961 and earned her bachelors' degree in languages from Illinois Wesleyan University in 1965 and her masters' degree in school administration from Roosevelt University; and

WHEREAS, Sharon Foote taught Spanish at North Chicago High School for over 30 years, retiring in 1994; she was a member of the Illinois Education Association and the American Federation of Teachers; and

WHEREAS, Sharon Foote was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Libertyville, where she served as a deacon and volunteer and helped coordinate the church newsletter; she was an avid fan of the Blackhawks, the Bears, and the Cubs and enjoyed traveling in the United States, Mexico, South America, Europe, and to visit her family in Michigan; and

WHEREAS, Sharon Foote was preceded in death by her parents; and

WHEREAS, Sharon Foote is survived by her brother, Dwayne E. Foote; her nephew, Robert E. Foote (Jennifer); her niece, Debra L. Prinzing (Erik); her great-nephews and nieces, Jason and Erin Prinzing and Allison and Brayden Foote; her aunt, Adeline Foote; and her cousins, Mary and Thomas Foote; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Sharon R. Foote, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Sharon Foote as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
