| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Marina (nee Spiropoulos) Alexis, who |
| 4 | | passed away on May 21, 2013; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Marina Alexis was the beloved wife of Constantine |
| 6 | | "Dino" Alexis; the loving mother of John, Bob, and Frank |
| 7 | | (Despina "Penny") Alexis; the yiayia (grandmother) of Marina, |
| 8 | | Niki, and Dean; the dear sister of Alice (the late Danny) |
| 9 | | Barbarigos, Diane (James) Panos, Helen Edwards, James |
| 10 | | Spiropoulos, Rita Johnson, and the late Pam Johnsen; and the |
| 11 | | fond aunt of many nieces and nephews here and in Greece; |
| 12 | | therefore, be it

| 13 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL |
| 14 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
| 15 | | Marina Alexis, and extend our sincere condolences to her |
| 16 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it |
| 17 | | further

| 18 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 19 | | presented to the family of Marina Alexis as an expression of |
| 20 | | our deepest sympathy.
