SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of John Alan Dayer of Beach Park, who passed 
4away on July 28, 2013; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, John Dayer was born on April 29, 1938, in Waukegan 
6to John A. and Mildred B. (Shales) Dayer; he lived most of his 
7life in Waukegan and proudly served his country in the United 
8States Marine Corps; he married Patricia Beyers in Waukegan on 
9February 17, 1996; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, John Dayer retired in 2004 as Maintenance 
11Supervisor for the City of Waukegan; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, John Dayer enjoyed spending time with his family, 
13woodworking projects, and fitness activities, especially 
14volleyball; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, John Dayer was preceded in death by his parents 
16and by his stepson, John Parrish; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, John Dayer is survived by his wife, Patricia; his 
18children, Robin, Chris, Mark (Amy), and John; his stepchildren, 
19Jason (Cheryl) Parish and Theron J. Parrish; his siblings, 
20Edward LaMartin, James Dayer, and Penny (John) Hershman; his 10

1grandchildren; and his great-grandchild; therefore, be it
  
 
2    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL 
3ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
4John Alan Dayer, and extend our sincere condolences to his 
5family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
6further
  
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
8presented to the family of John Dayer as an expression of our 
9deepest sympathy.
