SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  Jerome A. "Jerry" Johnson of McHenry, who 
4passed away on August 16, 2013; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Jerome Johnson was born on September 17, 1946 in 
6Rockford; his parents were Warren and Aileen (Reynolds) 
7Johnson; he married Star Norini on April 10, 1995 in Woodstock; 
8and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Jerome Johnson was a proud veteran of the Vietnam 
10War; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Jerome Johnson was a devout Christian and was very 
12involved with The Chapel in McHenry; he was also an avid 
13fisherman, photographer, and banjo player; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Jerome Johnson was preceded in death by his 
15parents; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Jerome Johnson is survived by his wife, Star; his 
17children, Wendy (Joe) Callahan, Tracy Johnson, and Garrett 
18(Kari) Johnson; his stepchildren, Jennifer (Tim) Simmons, 
19Penny Steffen, and Kenneth (Laura) Ptaszek Jr.; his 
20grandchildren, Jordan, Christopher, Julia, Alex, Zachary,

1Samantha, Emily, Andrea, Madelaine, Ryan, and Avery; his 
2sister, Jan (Shawn) Morrison; his brother, Larry (Sharon) 
3Johnson; and his many nieces, nephews, and friends; therefore, 
4be it
  
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL 
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his 
7family and friends, mourn the passing of Jerome A. "Jerry" 
8Johnson; and be it further
  
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
10presented to the family of Jerome Johnson as an expression of 
11our sympathy.
