SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  William Fredrick Behrens of Park City, 
4who passed away on September 1, 2013; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, William Behrens was born on January 17, 1931 in 
6Lake Forest and remained a resident of Lake Forest throughout 
7his life; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, William Behrens served his country in the United 
9States Army during the Korean War, having attained the rank of 
10private first class; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, William Behrens was a member of the Veteran of 
12Foreign Wars, and Sheet Metal Workers Union Local 73; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, William Behrens was preceded in death by his wife, 
14Vivian Lee (nee Smith) Behrens; his brother, George Behrens; 
15and his sister, Gretchen Cummins; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, William Behrens is survived by his children, 
17William Michael Behrens, Andra Lee (Patrick) Norton, David 
18Charles (Amy) Behrens, and Bradley Thomas Behrens; his 
19grandchildren, Lauren, Evan, and Abigail; his siblings, 
20Marianne Schmitt, Alfred Britz, and Barbara Bentley; and his

1many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
  
 
2    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL 
3ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his 
4family and friends, mourn the passing of William Fredrick 
5Behrens; and be it further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to the family of William Behrens as an expression of 
8our sympathy.
