SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Francis Terry Busch of Hudson, who passed
4away on November 3, 2013; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Francis Busch was born on January 17, 1934 in Blue
6Island; his parents were Francis and Agnes Lenzi Busch; he
7married Barbara Ott on August 29, 1953 in LaGrange; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Francis Busch graduated from Lyons Township High
9School in LaGrange; he subsequently attended the University of
10Illinois, earning a Bachelor of Science in vocational
11agriculture in 1956; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Francis Busch taught vocational agriculture at
13Lexington High School from 1956 until 1961, when he began a new
14career as a territory sales manager with Cargill Seeds; he
15remained in sales as a top salesman for 35 years; he also
16worked as a special markets manager with Cargill until his
17retirement in 1993; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Francis Busch was a member of St. Mary's Catholic
19Church in Lexington; he also served on the school board,
20assisted with the formation of the Jaycees, helped to bring the
21Patton Cabin to Lexington Park, and served on the Lexington

1Volunteer Fire Department for many years; and
 
2    WHEREAS, Francis Busch enjoyed fishing, hunting, traveling
3with his wife, and spending time with his grandchildren; and
 
4    WHEREAS, Francis Busch was preceded in death by his
5parents; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Francis Busch is survived by his wife, Barbara;
7his sons, William (Millie), Patrick (Michelle), David
8(Connie), and James (Laurie); his grandchildren, Michael,
9John, Catherine, and Caroline; and his step-grandchildren,
10Mark, Alissa, and Brian; therefore, be it
 
11    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
12ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
13family and friends, mourn the passing of Francis Terry Busch;
14and be it further
 
15    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
16presented to the family of Francis Busch as an expression of
17our sympathy.
