| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Fay Ann Taylor Miller, who passed away on |
| 4 | | November 9, 2013; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Fay Miller was born on April 29, 1936 in |
| 6 | | Greensburg, Pennsylvania; her parents were Harry W. and E. |
| 7 | | Louise (nee Dietz) Taylor; and
|
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Fay Miller graduated magna cum laude from Carthage |
| 9 | | College in Kenosha, Wisconsin with a Bachelor's Degree in |
| 10 | | Business Administration; and
|
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Fay Miller worked as a purchaser for Pfizer |
| 12 | | Pharmaceuticals for many years; she subsequently worked as a |
| 13 | | real estate agent for 15 years until her retirement in 2001; |
| 14 | | and
|
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Fay Miller was a member of Saint Stephen Lutheran |
| 16 | | Church in Antioch and an associate member of Shepherd of the |
| 17 | | Hills Lutheran Church in McHenry; she was also a member of the |
| 18 | | Centegra Hospital Auxiliary and served as a volunteer at the |
| 19 | | Pink Door Shop in McHenry; and |
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Fay Miller was preceded in death by her son, |

| 1 | | Timothy David Miller; and
|
| 2 | | WHEREAS, Fay Miller is survived by her husband, Pastor |
| 3 | | Charles E. Miller; her daughters, Laurie (Phillip) Almeraz, |
| 4 | | Lisa (Gary) Johnson, and Leigh (David) Adler; her |
| 5 | | grandchildren, Steven and Courtney Adler, Taylor Almeraz, |
| 6 | | Bradley (Torie) Johnson, Robert (Jennifer) Johnson, and Joshua |
| 7 | | (Kelly) Johnson; her great-grandchildren, Zane and Zoe Johnson |
| 8 | | and Luke, Logan, and Abigail Johnson; her brothers, Thomas |
| 9 | | (Margaret) Taylor and Harry (Marsha) Taylor; her |
| 10 | | sisters-in-law, Violet Pore and Dorothy Heltebran; her |
| 11 | | brother-in-law, Alfred (Ada) Miller; and her many nieces and |
| 12 | | nephews; therefore, be it

| 13 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL |
| 14 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her |
| 15 | | family and friends, mourn the passing of Fay Ann Taylor Miller; |
| 16 | | and be it further
|
| 17 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 18 | | presented to the family of Fay Miller as an expression of our |
| 19 | | sympathy.
