SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Fay Ann Taylor Miller, who passed away on November 9, 2013; and

WHEREAS, Fay Miller was born on April 29, 1936 in Greensburg, Pennsylvania; her parents were Harry W. and E. Louise (nee Dietz) Taylor; and

WHEREAS, Fay Miller graduated magna cum laude from Carthage College in Kenosha, Wisconsin with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration; and

WHEREAS, Fay Miller worked as a purchaser for Pfizer Pharmaceuticals for many years; she subsequently worked as a real estate agent for 15 years until her retirement in 2001; and

WHEREAS, Fay Miller was a member of Saint Stephen Lutheran Church in Antioch and an associate member of Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in McHenry; she was also a member of the Centegra Hospital Auxiliary and served as a volunteer at the Pink Door Shop in McHenry; and

WHEREAS, Fay Miller was preceded in death by her son, Timothy David Miller; and

WHEREAS, Fay Miller is survived by her husband, Pastor Charles E. Miller; her daughters, Laurie (Phillip) Almeraz, Lisa (Gary) Johnson, and Leigh (David) Adler; her grandchildren, Steven and Courtney Adler, Taylor Almeraz, Bradley (Torie) Johnson, Robert (Jennifer) Johnson, and Joshua (Kelly) Johnson; her great-grandchildren, Zane and Zoe Johnson and Luke, Logan, and Abigail Johnson; her brothers, Thomas (Margaret) Taylor and Harry (Marsha) Taylor; her sisters-in-law, Violet Pore and Dorothy Heltebran; her brother-in-law, Alfred (Ada) Miller; and her many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her family and friends, mourn the passing of Fay Ann Taylor Miller; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Fay Miller as an expression of our sympathy.
