SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  Jane Kelly Kennedy, who passed away on 
4December 24, 2013; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Jane Kennedy grew up in Waukegan; she was the 
6daughter of John and Ellen Kelly; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, Jane Kennedy and her sisters, Frannie and Gerry, 
8were a singing trio known as The Kelly Sisters; they performed 
9at venues across the United States with the USO during World 
10War II; the sisters were eventually signed to perform in 
11theatres and night clubs; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Jane Kennedy was preceded in death by her husband 
13of 53 years, Roland Kennedy; and

  
 
14    WHEREAS, Jane Kennedy is survived by her sisters, Gerry 
15Kelman and Ginger Durkin; her loving children, Roland (Laura) 
16Kennedy, Jr., John (Debra) Kennedy, Steve (Cheryl) Kennedy, and 
17Elizabeth Kennedy-Mouritsen (Roger); her 11 grandchildren; her 
1811 great-grandchildren; and her many nieces and nephews; 
19therefore, be it
  
 
20    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL

1ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her 
2family and friends, mourn the passing of Jane Kelly Kennedy; 
3and be it further
  
 
4    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
5presented to the family of Jane Kennedy as an expression of our 
6sympathy.
