SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Michael A. Hansen of Greenwood, who 
4passed away on December 28, 2013; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Michael Hansen was born on March 14, 1949 in 
6Woodstock to Clarence and Marjorie (nee Hutson) Hansen; he 
7graduated from Woodstock High School in 1968 and served his 
8country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Michael Hansen worked for Unions #681 and #150 for 
1030 years, retiring in 2011; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Michael Hansen enjoyed fishing, hunting, and his 
12beloved companion, Scrappy; his greatest joy was his family and 
13babysitting his grandchildren; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Michael Hansen was preceded in death by his 
15father, Clarence Hansen and by his brother, Dean Hansen; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Michael Hansen is survived by his son, Christopher 
17M. (Jessie) Hansen; his daughter, Vonnie R. Hansen; his 
18grandchildren, Mollie Hansen, Mariah Hansen, Connor Hansen, 
19Kylee Hansen, and Nicholas Hansen; his mother, Marjorie Hansen; 
20his sister, Linda Hansen Goad; his nieces, Amy (Bill) O'Brien,

1Katie Krause, and Carrie (Jamison) MacDonald; and several aunts 
2and cousins; therefore, be it
  
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL 
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
5Michael A. Hansen, and extend our sincere condolences to his 
6family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
7further
  
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
9presented to the family of Michael Hansen as an expression of 
10our deepest sympathy.
