2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Victor J. Cacciatore, Sr. of River | ||||||
4 | Forest; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Victor Cacciatore, Sr. graduated from Mount | ||||||
6 | Carmel High School and DePaul University, where he earned both | ||||||
7 | his undergraduate and law degrees; he served his country in the | ||||||
8 | United States Army as a Counterintelligence Corps Special Agent | ||||||
9 | in France; he married Charlotte in 1956; and
| ||||||
10 | WHEREAS, Victor Cacciatore, Sr. returned from the service | ||||||
11 | and took over his father's real estate firm, Jos. Cacciatore & | ||||||
12 | Company and expanded it; and
| ||||||
13 | WHEREAS, Victor Cacciatore, Sr. was a philanthropist, | ||||||
14 | donating to his alma maters Mount Carmel High School and DePaul | ||||||
15 | University, where he personally gave the funds to construct | ||||||
16 | Cacciatore Stadium; and
| ||||||
17 | WHEREAS, Victor Cacciatore, Sr. enjoyed cooking flapjacks | ||||||
18 | for his family every Sunday and taking his kids on fishing | ||||||
19 | trips in Canada and to South Carolina; and
| ||||||
20 | WHEREAS, Victor Cacciatore, Sr. was the beloved husband of |

1 | Charlotte (nee Kwasigroch); the devoted father of Victor, Jr. | ||||||
2 | (Josephine), Joseph (Maria), Peter, Cynthia (Roger) Bickel, | ||||||
3 | Mary Beth, Gloria (Hayati) Turan, Christopher, Susan (Mark) | ||||||
4 | Lasek, Philip (Joann), and Daniel; the loving son of the late | ||||||
5 | Joseph and Gloria Cacciatore; the fond grandfather of 21 | ||||||
6 | grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; the dearest brother | ||||||
7 | of Angeline Ratkovich and the late Frank Cacciatore, Genevieve | ||||||
8 | Panaerse, and Gloria DiGiacomo; and dear uncle of many nieces | ||||||
9 | and nephews; therefore, be it

10 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL | ||||||
11 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
12 | Victor J. Cacciatore, Sr., and extend our sincere condolences | ||||||
13 | to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be | ||||||
14 | it further

15 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
16 | presented to the family of Victor Cacciatore, Sr. as an | ||||||
17 | expression of our deepest sympathy.
