SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Victor J. Cacciatore, Sr. of River Forest; and

WHEREAS, Victor Cacciatore, Sr. graduated from Mount Carmel High School and DePaul University, where he earned both his undergraduate and law degrees; he served his country in the United States Army as a Counterintelligence Corps Special Agent in France; he married Charlotte in 1956; and

WHEREAS, Victor Cacciatore, Sr. returned from the service and took over his father's real estate firm, Jos. Cacciatore & Company and expanded it; and

WHEREAS, Victor Cacciatore, Sr. was a philanthropist, donating to his alma maters Mount Carmel High School and DePaul University, where he personally gave the funds to construct Cacciatore Stadium; and

WHEREAS, Victor Cacciatore, Sr. enjoyed cooking flapjacks for his family every Sunday and taking his kids on fishing trips in Canada and to South Carolina; and

WHEREAS, Victor Cacciatore, Sr. was the beloved husband of Charlotte (nee Kwasigroch); the devoted father of Victor, Jr. (Josephine), Joseph (Maria), Peter, Cynthia (Roger) Bickel, Mary Beth, Gloria (Hayati) Turan, Christopher, Susan (Mark) Lasek, Philip (Joann), and Daniel; the loving son of the late Joseph and Gloria Cacciatore; the fond grandfather of 21 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; the dearest brother of Angeline Ratkovich and the late Frank Cacciatore, Genevieve Panaerse, and Gloria DiGiacomo; and dear uncle of many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Victor J. Cacciatore, Sr., and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Victor Cacciatore, Sr. as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
