|
| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Bess K. Meersman, who passed away on |
| 4 | | December 26, 2013; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Bess Meersman was the owner and operator of the |
| 6 | | Bread Box Bakery and Strawberry Fields Catering in Moline; she |
| 7 | | was also a co-founder of Campaign Management Services, a |
| 8 | | campaign consulting firm, in the early 1990s; and
|
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Bess Meersman served as chairman of the Rock |
| 10 | | Island County Republican Party from 1992 to 2000; she also |
| 11 | | served on the Illinois Republican State Central Committee and |
| 12 | | was a delegate to the 1992 Republican National Convention; and
|
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Bess Meersman is survived by her husband, H. Moss |
| 14 | | Meersman, and her daughter, Marti Meersman; therefore, be it
|
| 15 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL |
| 16 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her |
| 17 | | family and friends, mourn the passing of Bess K. Meersman; and |
| 18 | | be it further

| 19 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 20 | | presented to the family of Bess Meersman as an expression of |
