SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  Lyle F. Walter of Marengo, who passed 
4away on January 10, 2014; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Lyle Walter was born on August 30, 1942 in 
6Mauston, Wisconsin; his parents were Clifford and Vera (nee 
7Sonneberg) Walter; he married Judy Kulikowski on June 22, 1963 
8in Mauston; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Lyle Walter worked for the Chrysler Corporation in 
10Belvidere, where he was a member of the Local 1268 for 22 
11years; he also farmed for most of his life; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Lyle Walter enjoyed collecting and restoring 1/16 
13scale farm tractors and implements, truck and tractor pulling, 
14snowmobile racing with his children, camping, and taking 
15motorcycle trips with his wife; he was a co-founder of a farm 
16toy club and participated for many years in parades in Illinois 
17and southern Wisconsin; and
  
 
18    WHEREAS, Lyle Walter is preceded in death by his parents; 
19his sisters, Yvonne Walter and Bernadine Vodak; and his 
20son-in-law, Tony O'Donnell; and

1    WHEREAS, Lyle Walter is survived by his wife of 50 years, 
2Judy; his children, Curt Walter and Terri Jo O'Donnell; his 
3grandchildren, Ashley O'Donnell, Michael O'Donnell, Garrett 
4Walter, and Miranda Walter; his great-granddaughter, Aubri 
5O'Donnell; his siblings, Edith Burkhalter, LeRoy Walter, 
6Bonnie (Edward) Hooker, and Byron Walter; and his many 
7sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, and nephews; 
8therefore, be it
  
 
9    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL 
10ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his 
11family and friends, mourn the passing of Lyle F. Walter; and be 
12it further
  
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
14presented to the family of Lyle Walter as an expression of our 
15sympathy.
