SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  Kenneth Robert Baumgarten, who passed 
4away on December 6, 2013; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Kenneth Baumgarten earned his law degree from the 
6Southern Illinois University School of Law; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, Kenneth Baumgarten served as State's Attorney for 
8Menard County for 15 years; he previously served as Assistant 
9State's Attorney for Sangamon County and as Counsel for the 
10Illinois Prisoner Review Board; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Kenneth Baumgarten was preceded in death by his 
12father, Robert Baumgarten; and

  
 
13    WHEREAS, Kenneth Baumgarten is survived by his wife, Susan; 
14his children, Nicole and Kyle; his mother, Lorraine; and his 
15uncles, Herb (Jane) Baumgarten and Dan (Shirley) Baumgarten; 
16therefore, be it
  
 
17    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL 
18ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his 
19family and friends, mourn the passing of Kenneth Robert 
20Baumgarten; and be it further
