2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
3 | | learn of the death of Barbara Ann "Bobbie" (nee Trainor) |
4 | | McNabola, who passed away on January 8, 2014; and
|
5 | | WHEREAS, Barbara McNabola was born on January 16, 1931 in |
6 | | Chicago to Margie and E.V. Trainor and grew up in the South |
7 | | Shore area; she met and married William McNabola in the early |
8 | | 1950s; and
|
9 | | WHEREAS, Barbara McNabola was raised with a strong |
10 | | religious conviction that guided her throughout her life; in |
11 | | times of good health she was a daily communicant and was seldom |
12 | | seen without her Rosary in the evenings; and |
13 | | WHEREAS, Barbara McNabola was known as a "fashionista"; she |
14 | | found the most elegant clothes and accessories at resale shops |
15 | | and always dressed elegantly for any and all occasions; she was |
16 | | always seen with drop earrings, lots of jewelry, and several |
17 | | silver bracelets on each arm; and
|
18 | | WHEREAS, Barbara McNabola enjoyed spending time with |
19 | | family, talking on the phone with her sister and best friend, |
20 | | Peg, and driving, especially "top down" cars; and
|

1 | | WHEREAS, Barbara McNabola was a doting grandparent and |
2 | | proud of each of her 14 grandchildren; she was generous to |
3 | | everyone she met and always felt the need to help those who |
4 | | were less fortunate; and
|
5 | | WHEREAS, Barbara McNabola was the wife of William Francis |
6 | | McNabola, M.D.; the cherished mother of Mary Margaret "Buffy" |
7 | | (Rick) Rock, Thomas (Cheryl), Mark (Eileen), John (Jennifer), |
8 | | and Edward "Ted" (Katie); the beloved grandmother of Margee, |
9 | | Madeline, and Kathleen Rock; Brenden Burke and Matt; Luke, |
10 | | Molly, Jack, and Audrey; Gillian and Jessica; Maggie and Claire |
11 | | McNabola; and the late Patrick Burke; the dearest daughter of |
12 | | the late Majorie J. (nee Tully) and Edward "E.V." Trainor; the |
13 | | kindest sister of the late Edward "Tully" (the late Patricia) |
14 | | Trainor, the late Marjorie "Peggy" (Robert) White, and Daniel |
15 | | Trainor; and the loving aunt and great aunt of the White, |
16 | | Kennedy, and Boast families; therefore, be it

17 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL |
18 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
19 | | Barbara Ann "Bobbie" McNabola, and extend our sincere |
20 | | condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved |
21 | | her; and be it further
