2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
3 | | learn of the death of Carl R. Vandenberg of Tinley Park; and

4 | | WHEREAS, Carl Vandenberg served his country as a member of |
5 | | the United States Army's Graves Registration Service during the |
6 | | Korean War; and
|
7 | | WHEREAS, Carl Vandenberg was the founder and owner of |
8 | | Vandenberg Funeral Homes; and
|
9 | | WHEREAS, Carl Vandenberg was a member of the Tinley Park |
10 | | Lions Club, the Fr. C.C. Boyle Knights of Columbus Council |
11 | | 4698, the St. Francis Hospital Advisory Board, and many |
12 | | organizations throughout the south suburbs of Chicago; and
|
13 | | WHEREAS, Carl Vandenberg enjoyed spending his summers in |
14 | | Sister Lakes, Michigan and his winters holding court at the |
15 | | Chickee Bar in Naples, Florida; he also enjoyed watching his |
16 | | grandchildren's events; and
|
17 | | WHEREAS, Carl Vandenberg was the beloved husband of the |
18 | | late Jean Vandenberg (nee Hickey); the loving father of Carl |
19 | | (Deborah), Kirk (Ray Jaskot), Mark (Rhonda), Gary (Bobbie |
20 | | Halminiak), and Scot (Patricia); the proud and caring papa of |
