SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of James R. Koerner, who passed away on 
4February 10, 2014; and
  
 

  
5    WHEREAS, James Koerner was an avid golfer and enjoyed 
6driving and caring for his Corvette; he loved to spend time 
7with friends on Thursday nights and attend his grandchildren's 
8sporting events; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, James Koerner was preceded in death by his 
10parents, Martin and Zirna (nee Chaffee) Koerner; his brothers, 
11Martin and Michael; his sister, Joan Robinson; his nephew, 
12Daniel Robinson; and his mother-in-law and father-in-law, 
13Michael and Lillian (nee Hochevar) Gale; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, James Koerner is survived by his wife of 46 years, 
15Mary Ann (nee Gale); his son, Craig (fiance Cathey McShane); 
16his daughter, Kris (Bill) Linneweh: his grandchildren, Morgan 
17and Colin Linneweh; his brother, Patrick (Mary Ann) Koerner; 
18his sisters-in-law, Judy (James) Batusich and Rose (Thomas) 
19Giarrante; his brother-in-law, Michael (Donna) Gale; and 
20numerous nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
  
 
21    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL

1ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
2James R. Koerner, and extend our sincere condolences to his 
3family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it

6presented to the family of James Koerner as an expression of 
7our deepest sympathy.
