SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  Michael Jennings, who passed away on 
4March 9, 2014; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Michael Jennings was born on February 14, 1931 in 
6Alton; his parents were George and Grace (nee Gunterman) 
7Jennings; he married Katherine Girard on September 7, 1957 at 
8St. Mary's Catholic Church in Alton; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, After graduating from St. Louis College of 
10Pharmacy in 1954, Michael Jennings went to work at the Upper 
11Alton Pharmacy and St. Joseph's Pharmacy before retiring from 
12St. Clare's Pharmacy; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Michael Jennings was a member of St. Mary's 
14Catholic Church in Alton and St. Vincent Paul Society for 40 
15years; and

  
 
16    WHEREAS, Michael Jennings is survived by his wife, 
17Katherine Jennings; his children and their spouses, Diane and 
18John Luthi, Mary and Rick Sackman, Michael Jennings, Ellen and 
19Rob Wingert, and Tommy Jennings; and his grandchildren, Katie 
20Jennings, Amanda Jennings, Katelyn Luthi, and Ben Sackman;

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his 
3family and friends, mourn the passing of Michael Jennings; and 
4be it further
  
 
5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
6presented to the family of Michael Jennings as an expression of 
7our sympathy.
