SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Martha "Marty" Lawless of Crystal Lake, 
4who passed away on February 28, 2014; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Martha Lawless was born in Chicago to Carl and 
6Theresa Linnemann; she married Frank Lawless on May 28, 1949 in 
7Chicago; and
  
 
  
8    WHEREAS, Martha Lawless was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann 
9Seton Catholic Church; she enjoyed craftwork, needdlework, TV 
10westerns, especially with John Wayne, and spending summers at 
11the lake; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Martha Lawless was preceded in death by her 
13husband, Frank; her parents; and by her sister, Thelma Hoss; 
14and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Martha Lawless is survived by her children, 
16Kathleen (Paul) Hayden and Steven (Gail) Lawless; her 
17grandchildren, Michelle (Tom) Golbeck, Scott (Jackie) Hayden, 
18Megan Lawless, and Ashley Lawless; and her 
19great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Golbeck, Emily Golbeck, Benjamin 
20Hayden, and Lucas Hayden; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
3Martha "Marty" Lawless, and extend our sincere condolences to 
4her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it 
5further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to the family of Martha Lawless as an expression of 
8our deepest sympathy.
