SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Jane L. Collins of rural Woodstock, who 
4passed away on March 1, 2014; and
  
 
  
5    WHEREAS, Jane Collins enjoyed being amongst the outdoors 
6and protecting McHenry County's natural resources; she loved 
7mountains, trees, prairies, lighthouses, cats, and all 
8creatures great and small; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Jane Collins delighted in and admired the works of 
10E.B. White, Henry Beston, Virginia Eiffert, Rachel Carson, 
11Eliot Porter, William Shakespeare, Charles Dickens, and Yo Yo 
12Ma; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Jane Collins found the greatest pleasure in 
14sharing laughter, food, and books with friends; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Jane Collins is survived by her husband, John, 
16whom she met and married in Nigeria where they were both 
17serving in the Peace Corps; her sister, Joan Emehiser; and her 
18brothers, Harold Littleton and Glen Littleton; therefore, be it
  
 
19    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL 
20ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of

1Jane L. Collins, and extend our sincere condolences to her 
2family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it

4    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
