SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Harold Lloyd Ingold of Paxton, who passed away on April 6, 2014; and

WHEREAS, Harold Ingold was born on December 22, 1927 in rural Fisher; his parents were Raymond and Elsie Beck Ingold; he married Carol Beth Johnson on August 8, 1948 at Federated Church in Paxton; and

WHEREAS, Harold Ingold graduated from Paxton High School in 1945; and

WHEREAS, Harold Ingold worked for and later owned and operated Paxton Farm Equipment Company in Paxton, the local John Deere dealer from 1948 until his retirement in 1986; he also served as president of the board of directors for Paxton Community Hospital and was a member of First United Methodist Church in Paxton; and

WHEREAS, Harold Ingold was an avid Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears fan and played on a local traveling baseball team as a young man; he also enjoyed playing golf with his friends and spending time with his family; and

WHEREAS, Harold Ingold was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers, Clarence and Lyle; and 3 sisters, Dora Eichelberger, Betty Unzicker, and June Simpson; and

WHEREAS, Harold Ingold is survived by his wife, Carol; sons, Bill (Lynn) Ingold and Rick Ingold; granddaughter, Leslie (Tom) Cottrell; grandson, Jeff (Jennie) Ingold; great-grandchildren, Lindsey Windler, Carter and Callie Ingold, and Jeremy Cottrell; 2 sisters, Joann Horsch and Barbara Wilson; sister-in-law, Emma Ingold; brother-in-law, Maurice (Mary) Johnson; and many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of Harold Lloyd Ingold; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Harold Ingold as an expression of our sympathy.
