SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Marian Lucille (nee Link) Whitcomb of 
4Beach Park, who passed away on March 10, 2014; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Marian Whitcomb was born in Chicago on November 
625, 1923 to Willard and Eleanor (nee Reitz) Link; she married 
7Walter Whitcomb, Jr. in Berwyn on August 10, 1946; and
  
 
  
8    WHEREAS, Marian Whitcomb was a member of Annunciation of 
9Our Lady Episcopal Church in Gurnee and enjoyed gardening, 
10sewing, needlepoint, and ceramics; she especially loved 
11tending to her family; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Marian Whitcomb was preceded in death by her 
13grandson, Sean, and by her brother, Bill Link; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Marian Whitcomb is survived by her husband, Walter 
15Whitcomb; sons, Clyde (Tammy) Whitcomb and Craig (Donna) 
16Whitcomb; daughter, Catherine (Frank) Castaneda; 9 
17grandchildren, Brad, Dana, Maritt, Jason, Jeff, Ryan, Steven, 
18Scott, and Peter; and 6 great-grandchildren; therefore, be it
  
 
19    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL 
20ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of

2her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
