SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Robert C. "Bobby" Edwards of North 
4Chicago, who passed away on March 11, 2014; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Robert Edwards was born in Waukegan on February 3, 
61949 to Booker and Arlenia Edwards; he graduated from North 
7Chicago High School in 1968 and served in the United States 
8Marines for 2 years during the Vietnam War; and
  
 

  
9    WHEREAS, Robert Edwards was preceded in death by his 
10parents, and by brothers, Booker Jr. "Butch" and Richard 
11"Ricky" Edwards; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Robert Edwards is survived by his 4 sisters, Donna 
13Johnson, Mary B. Edwards, Arlena Taylor, and Joy Edwards; a 
14host of nieces, nephews, and cousins; and special aunts, Lee 
15Cabine and Queen Guydon; therefore, be it
  
 
16    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL 
17ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
18Robert C. "Bobby" Edwards, and extend our sincere condolences 
19to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved  him; and be
